RICS Awards, South West. Awarded to a project seen as an excellent example of best practice by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

RICS Awards, South West. Judges described Gloucester Services as ‘a well designed and beautifully crafted building’ that sets ‘new standards for the motorway service area sector’.

RICS Awards, South West. Judges called Gloucester Services a ‘quantum leap in the design and operation of motorway service areas’ that ‘directly benefits the local community’.

Cumbria Family Business Awards. In the inaugural year of this event celebrating the achievements of family businesses, Hairy Biker Dave Myers presented The Westmorland Family (Tebay Services and Rheged) with the Large Leisure and Tourism Business award.

BCIA (British Construction Industry) Awards. Awarded to the Westmorland Family, Glenn Howells Architects, AFL Architects, The Buckingham Group and BWB Consulting.

Gloucester Services by Glenn Howells Architects with AFL Architects for Westmorland Ltd was recognised by the Royal Institute of British Architects for its significant contribution to architecture.

We were one of ten recipients of a RIBA South West Award, also winning the 2016 Sustainability Award and the Client of the Year Award for Westmorland Ltd (nominated by Glenn Howells Architects).

Gloucester Services was one of seven new buildings commended for outstanding contribution to the environment and community at the annual awards presented by the Gloucestershire branch of the countryside charity.

Gloucester Services became the first and only UK motorway service area to be listed in the prestigious restaurant guide.

Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards. The judges described Gloucester Services as a superb showcase for local produce and a real boost to the region’s economy.

Civil and Structural Engineers BWB won the Project Design category of the ACE (Association for Consultancy and Engineering) Engineering Excellence Awards for their work on Gloucester Services.

We won the top prize at the annual industry awards, where we also won in the categories Best Community Engagement, Best Design & Development, Motorway Services and Retailer Champion.

Winning the ‘Destination Innovation’ category in The Independent’s inaugural travel awards, we were described by the judges as the ‘Glastonbury of road stops’.

Our Tebay Services and Gloucester Services were one of only seven MSAs to achieve the top rating and we have retained our five-star rating ever since.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust Nature Works Business Awards.

Winner: Best Newcomer. Restaurant critic Jay Rayner described Gloucester Services as ‘a beacon of hope for hungry drivers looking for quality food’ and ‘a radical business model that gives to the community’.

Winner: Best Local Food to Go.

Our former CEO (now Chair) received the Best Retail Entrepreneur award (turnover over £20 million) at the inaugural Investec Food and Drink Entrepreneur of the Year event held at the House of Commons.

Our former CEO (now Chair) was named in the New Year’s Honours List, receiving the OBE in recognition of her services to the food, drink and hospitality sectors.

Judges at the Cumbria Life Food & Drink Awards gave a special award to CEO Sarah Dunning and Tebay Services for championing and supporting local food and drink.

The Royal Agricultural Society of England’s Excellence in Practical Farming and Business Award recognises those who set a lead for other farmers on a regional or national basis.

Our Caravan Park won this award for the seventh time since 2006 for its efforts in reducing its impact on the surrounding environment.

Tebay South became the first recipient of a five-star rating under VisitEngland’s Motorway Service Area (MSA) quality scheme. Tebay Services also received a five-star rating in 2015, one of only seven MSAs to achieve the top rating, and we have retained our five-star rating ever since.

Presented by the late food critic Egon Ronay, founder of the British Academy of Gastronomes, this award was given annually to the person or business that had done most to improve the quality of UK food. Previous winners included HRH The Prince of Wales, the Roux brothers, Jane Grigson and Somerset Cheddar.

Our CEO (now Chair) was named Family Business Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors Awards.

Tebay Services won the Small Retailer/Food Retailer/Local Retailer category of the BBC Food and Farming Awards, which honour those that do most to promote the cause of good food.
